Clarity Pharma, Stansted
Requirement
HabitAction are a leading interior design and fit out partner and were commissioned to fit-out an impressive industrial unit near Stansted.
The Problem
This cutting edge pharmaceutical company took on a new office and warehouse unit at Stansted and Anchor's trade partner Accent won the interior fitout package. Working directly with the company owners and Accent project management, Anchor developed a full security solution around Clarity's specialist needs. The solution focused on everyday security and convenience as well as protection of the assets during periods when the building was unoccupied. Particular care had to be given to the drug handling regulations, with quarantine airlock area, and temperature-controlled walk-in fridge to be accessed by validated access control token only.
The Anchor Solution
Anchor designed, supplied and installed a system utilising a hardwearing Urmet audio only entry panel situated outside the unmanned main reception, with an inbuilt Paxton proximity reader, connection to an electric locking device and a handset in the upstairs office. The entrance door could be released from upstairs once a visitor was validated to allow persons into the reception area. Using the Paxton Net 2 access control system, visitors were prevented from going into the warehouse, canteen or office areas unaccompanied, keeping to the regulations.
With the addition of Paxton's Net2 "Professional" software, the access control system also serves as time and attendance feature for the business, as staff fob IN and OUT at proximity readers on or near the main entrance, which records their hours and can be used at any time for a roll call of occupants of the building during an evacuation. The whole building is covered by CCTV for control of stock as well as intruders.
One particularly noteworthy aspects of Anchor's solution is the 180 degree Panovu cameras which provide a complete view of the frontage of the building from a single location. Inside the warehouse a 360 degree birds-eye view camera was used to show the picking area. This camera had to be installed at a height below the innovative air handling system of fabric tube ductwork, yet fixed to the warehouse roof - a challenge overcome by a special pole mount and bracket accessed by a scissor lift.
The outcome
Clarity Pharma were delivered a stunning fitout and the photographs bear this out. What lies behind this interior is a fully functional security system, which gives the owners more control, records of events and peace of mind.
