Requirement
This independent school sought a control system for their state-of-the-art Music room.
The Problem
The school's music department needed use of both computer Qwerty keyboards and music keyboards to be accommodated into their music rooms refurbishment. The music teacher needed to be able to mute the keyboards, or listen to a particular student's work. They also wanted to be able to play a selected keyboard over the sound system for all to hear.
The Anchor Solution
Anchor developed a solution with teacher controls available on a desk monitor, and operating the sound volume or selections by literally one touch. The system was also enabled to be controlled by an app on the teachers' device, so they could use it from anywhere in the room.
The user interfaces were created by Anchor to be ultra-simple and care was taken to keep all the breakable parts out of the way under the desk, fixed to a special nylon carrier tray. Headphones were included for the students, with desktop controls as well as remote controls from the teacher's system. The safety of the students was improved too, as they could be silenced and addressed instantly in event of an emergency.
The outcome
This client was very impressed, and has repeated their order of the solution on other occasions. Anchor have rolled out the system across three music rooms so far, on successive holiday periods.
Summary
Head of Music at the school said, 'The whole experience of working with Anchor was straightforward, honest and effective. They came up with a great solution, the staff, and students are comfortable. Better still, the teacher can mute the students with one touch of a button - every teacher's dream!'.
